I'm having a problem with the "adaptive noise filter". I just don't understand why these issues would even exist if I am working with the same exact files and programs.įirst thanks for providing the November 9 beta release ( ). and under the sample type settings, change it to 16 bit? or do I select 'same as source'? Now I'm hesitant to to anymore work with my mac until I get these issues resolved. I do the same exact thing to convert the mp3 to wav, I click file, save as. Why are there issues with the wav files i transfer from my Mac files to my PC?

Then I do the exact same thing on my Mac.

Now what I am wondering is - If I download an mp3 on my PC and edit it(check for swears etc.) and save as wave pcm(without adjusting any settings, just the default) That was the only way I could enter these files into the computer systems. So what I had to do at the Radio was, I grab those files which were Wave PCM - 44100 Hz Stereo 32-bit - Uncompressed 32-BIT Floating Point (IEEE) and convert the sample type to 16 bit. Anyways, I began to think that maybe these particular group of files would not be compatible with the TLC-Scott Studios System at the Radio. (It is known that Winamp has had issues with these sample rates in the past). I tried Windows Media Player and they played fine. I have saved as(without changing any settings - bit rate etc.) and when I transferred those wave files to my Desktop PC, they were distorted in Winamp.

Now the recent problem I had was I began using Adobe Audition 4.0 on my new MacBook Pro 13" and have downloaded music and edited. I have had zero issues with sample rates etc. Wave files because that is preferred for the systems I use at the Radio station I work at. On my PC Desktop, I edit mp3's I download in Adobe Audition 1.5.

As we continue development on Audition, expect to see many of those "missing" features back, with improvements to performance and updates to remain ahead of the curve. Based on our visits and surveys of customers and production facilities, we prioritized a list of the most required, requested, mandatory features and workflows that would be crucial to the majority of our users, and worked to ensure those were as fast, powerful, and reliable as we could make them. This hard work and attention to detail also meant that not every feature from previous editions of Adobe Audition could have been fully redesigned, developed, and tested within a reasonable schedule. In addition, we've merged new interface concepts from some of Adobe's other applications where it improved the editing experience, the split-screen waveform and spectral view being one of the more noticeable changes.

The same high-quality DSP algorithms and code was ported to ensure your audio edits maintain their fidelity and the noise removal tools retain their reputation as among the best in the world, but the majority of the application code was written from scratch to address technical improvements such as multiple-core processors and multi-channel audio.

To ensure the quality of this release, Audition saw a complete re-write from the ground up. If you are familiar with Adobe Audition 3.0 or previous on Windows, you may see some features that are not currently available in this public beta preview of Adobe Audition for the Mac.
